Steps to Measure Your Toilet Bowl for a Washlet Fit

Step 1. Determine the Shape

D-shape: The bowl is more rectangular but with rounded edges. It is shaped like the letter “D” with one side straight.

Elongated: The bowl is oval and elongated.

Round: The bowl is circular and compact.

Step 2. Measuring Your Toilet Bowl

To ensure your washlet seat cover will fit, you will need to measure the length, width, and the bolt hole distance of your toilet bowl.

Step 3. Fit Check

Once you have your measurements, compare them to the retrofit guideline. If they match, then the washlet seat cover should fit.

*If you’re installing a TOTO washlet on a non-TOTO toilet, you’ll likely need a universal mounting plate (also called a universal seat adapter). This plate helps to ensure the washlet seat will fit securely*
